Balsamic Glazed Burgers

  Fire up the grill and dig in. These burgers are a summer smash!

Balsamic Glazed Burgers with Goat Cheese Spread

Total Time: 45 minutes
Yields: 6 servings

YOU WILL NEED:
• 1 tsp. olive oil
• 2 tsp. onion, diced
• 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
• 4 oz. goat cheese
• 2 oz. light cream cheese
• 1 tsp. fresh thyme leaves, chopped
• sea salt and pepper
• fresh basil
• 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
• 6 whole wheat hamburger buns

FOR GLAZE
• 1 1/2 cups balsamic vinegar
• 3 tbsp honey

DIRECTIONS FOR BALSAMIC GLAZE:
Reduce balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat for around 15 minutes. Set aside.

DIRECTIONS FOR GOAT CHEESE SPREAD:
Cook onions and garlic in small saucepan for 5 minutes. Add in goat cheese and cream cheese and stir until combined and warmed. Set aside.

DIRECTIONS FOR BURGERS:
Grill patties on medium heat and add balsamic glaze. Grill to desired doneness. Toast buns on grill. Assemble burgers and top with goat cheese spread. Garnish with fresh basil.
