Natural Egg Dyeing

  A how-to guide for dyeing eggs – the natural way!

INGREDIENTS:
  1 Red cabbage
  2 tsp. White distilled vinegar per dye
  2 tsp. Paprika
  1 Dozen eggs

BLUE DYE DIRECTIONS:
1. Cut ¼ head of red cabbage into chunks
2. Add to 4 cups of boiling water
3. Stir in 2 tsp. white distilled vinegar
4. Remove from heat and allow cabbage mixture to cool to room temperature. Remove cabbage using slotted spoon.
5. Pour dye into non-plastic bowl
6. Place eggs in bowl with dye, let rest at least 15 minutes

RED-ORANGE DYE DIRECTIONS:
1. Stir paprika into 1 cup of boiling water
2. Add 2 tsp. of white distilled vinegar
3. Let dye cool to room temperature
4. Pour dye into non-plastic bowl
5. Place eggs in bowl with dye, let rest at least 15 minutes

**For best results, store eggs in the bowl of dye in the fridge overnight**
